To safeguard the quality and safety of agricultural products, the safety of humans and livestock, and the safety of the ecological environment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and relevant departments have successively phased out a series of highly toxic and high-risk pesticide varieties and issued supporting restrictive and prohibitive control measures. To facilitate law enforcement and supervision by relevant departments, the nationally prohibited pesticide varieties are hereby announced as follows:

BHC (Hexachlorocyclohexane), DDT, Toxaphene, 1,2-Dibromo-3-chloropropane, Chlordimeform, Ethylene dibromide, Nitrofen, Aldrin, Dieldrin, Mercury compounds, Arsenic compounds, Lead compounds, Bis-ADTA, Fluoroacetamide, Gliftor, Tetramine, Sodium fluoroacetate, Silatrane, Demeton, Phosfolan, Chlorzolophos, Methamidophos, Parathion, Methyl parathion, Monocrotophos, Phosphamidon, Chlordane, Mirex, Hexachlorobenzene, Phenamiphos, Fonofos, Methyl phosfolan, Calcium phosphide, Magnesium phosphide, Zinc phosphide, Cadusafos, Coumaphos, Sulfotep, Terbufos, Chlorsulfuron, Ethametsulfuron, Metsulfuron-methyl, Asomate, Monomethylarsonic acid, Methidathion, 2,4-D butyl ester, Paraquat, Dicofol, Endosulfan, Lindane, Sulfluramid, Sodium pentachlorophenol, Phorate, Isofenphos-methyl, Isocarbophos, Ethoprophos, Omethoate, Carbofuran, Methomyl, Aldicarb.
Agriculture and rural affairs departments at all levels shall strengthen supervision over prohibited pesticides and, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations including the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products, and the Pesticide Administration Regulations, strictly handle illegal production, operation, and use of nationally prohibited pesticides in accordance with the law.
