On the 5th, the Department of Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released the "List of Prohibited and Restricted Pesticides" and the "List of Prohibited and Suspended Veterinary Drugs," further clarifying the boundaries for the use of pesticides and veterinary drugs in agricultural production, guiding production and business entities to use drugs in accordance with the law, and safeguarding the quality and safety of agricultural products.

According to the lists, in terms of pesticides, a total of 60 prohibited pesticide varieties and 20 restricted pesticide varieties are listed.
In terms of veterinary drugs, the lists include 21 drugs and other compounds prohibited for use in food-producing animals, a list of 40 drugs prohibited for use in feed and animal drinking water, 7 veterinary drugs suspended for use in food-producing animals, and 3 other drugs requiring special attention that are not approved for use in food-producing animals.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs reminds that pesticides shall be used in accordance with the scope of use and pre-harvest intervals specified on the label, and shall not be used beyond the approved scope. Veterinary drug users shall comply with the safe use regulations for veterinary drugs formulated by the veterinary administrative department of the State Council and shall establish breeding medication records.
